Chaozhou Chaoren Park "Journey to the West" Space: DXDF Creates a Chaoshan Cultural Landmark

Located along the scenic Han River in Guangdong, Chaozhou Chaoren Park serves as an essential urban living room showcasing Chaoshan culture and greenery. To deepen cultural tourism integration, DXDF (Grand Orient Wax Art) produced the "Journey to the West" immersive space within the park's vibrant natural backdrop. Utilizing the classic 1986 Journey to the West TV series as a blueprint, 33 exquisite sculptures and interactive scenes were crafted to transform the park into a popular cultural tourism hub.

    

Integrating Park Topography: An Immersive Journey Route

Grand Orient Wax Art skillfully utilized Chaoren Park's existing walkways and lush greenery, dividing the space into four themed zones that allow visitors to experience an authentic pilgrimage while strolling through the park.

• Four Classic Scene Routes：

  The narrative route flows through "Huaguo Mountain → Dragon Palace → Flaming Mountain → Tianzhu," blending natural landscaping with mythical storytelling.

• 33 Exquisite Sculptures：

  A total of 33 uniquely styled sculptures are placed throughout the park, bringing nostalgia to every turn.

      

 

Addressing the environmental requirements of Chaoren Park as an open outdoor space, we implemented high-standard materials and engineering solutions:

• Outdoor Area (FRP)：

  Utilizing lightweight, high-strength, and corrosion-resistant Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP), the outdoor installations easily withstand Chaozhou's hot, humid, and rainy climate along the Han River.

• Indoor Area (Hyper-Realistic Silicone)：

  Skin pores and hair roots are realistically reproduced with silicone, offering an engaging close-up experience.

• Animatronics & Audio Interaction：

  Sculptures feature dynamic mechanisms and sound systems—Sun Wukong engages in dialogue in the "Dragon Palace" scene, while the White Dragon Horse nods and Zhu Bajie turns his head on the "Pilgrimage Path".

    

• Chaoshan Cultural Integration：

  To reflect Chaozhou's heritage as the birthplace of Chaoshan culture, the East Sea Dragon Palace scene incorporates marine motifs, helm patterns, wave bas-reliefs, and Mazu temple architectural colors.

• Social Media Optimization)

  Trigger timing, camera angles, and 15–30 second movement loops for each animatronic sculpture are optimized to drive viral sharing on global platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
