As a cultural tourism landmark combining natural beauty with rich heritage, Sochi is home to the Dejavu Wax Museum – the city’s only large-scale professional wax figure museum, uniquely positioned as a signature cultural destination.
With extensive experience in cultural exhibition projects since 1999 and a dedicated manufacturing base of over 11,000+㎡, DXDF (Grand Orient Wax Art) provided comprehensive services for this project – from master planning and spatial design to atmosphere system implementation – delivering an immersive and well-orchestrated visitor experience.
Breaking away from conventional exhibition formats, the museum features nine distinct themed zones: politics, cinema, music, sports, animation, master artists, business leaders, curious humanities, and aerospace. These carefully curated areas connect iconic figures and scenes across eras, offering visitors a diverse, immersive, and culturally enriching journey.
Based on the building’s structural conditions, spatial dimensions, and visitor circulation patterns, our team systematically planned and positioned the nine themed zones. By applying proven cultural venue operational logic, we optimized the overall visitor flow, balanced touring rhythms across all areas, and ensured clear spatial zoning with smooth, logical connectivity. We also delivered detailed floor plans, equipment layouts, and construction drawings, providing precise technical guidance for exhibition installation, equipment setup, and display placement – ensuring seamless project execution.
To create a distinctive atmosphere for each zone, we applied a “one zone, one theme” customized design approach – moving away from generic, template-based solutions. For each of the nine thematic areas, we tailored the spatial settings, visual tone, and thematic props to authentically reconstruct the unique ambiance of each domain. This deep integration of exhibits, scenes, and themes enhances spatial layering and visitor immersion.
To meet immersive exhibition standards, the museum is equipped with a zoned, independent soundscape system. Custom environmental audio and background soundscapes were developed for each themed zone, allowing for separate audio playback without cross-interference. This combination of acoustics and spatial design strengthens the distinct identity of each area, enriches sensory engagement, and completes the museum‘s holistic immersive experience.
All wax figures at the Sochi Dejavu Wax Museum were independently custom-developed and manufactured by DXDF/Grand Orient Wax Art, ensuring end-to-end quality control.
Leveraging our hyper-realistic craftsmanship refined since 1999, each figure undergoes a comprehensive production process: reference verification, proportional modeling, clay sculpting, texture detailing, silicone molding, skin-tone pigmentation, hair implantation, costume tailoring, makeup refinement, and prop coordination. Whether depicting political icons, film stars, musicians, athletes, artists, business leaders, animated characters, or astronauts, every figure is meticulously crafted to capture authentic posture, expression, and nuanced detail, ensuring high realism and professional quality for each exhibit.
