Project Name: Wei Mu Kai La Wax Museum (Gulangyu Island Branch)
Location: Gulangyu Island, Xiamen, China (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
Service Scope: Master Planning, Spatial Flow Design, Thematic Decoration Engineering, Hyper-Realistic Silicone Figure Fabrication & On-Site Installation.
Project Type: Turnkey Commercial Exhibition & Scenic Attraction Project.
Gulangyu Island, known as the "Garden on the Sea," carries a rich architectural and cultural legacy. Creating a commercial wax museum in a UNESCO World Heritage region presented unique requirements:
Cultural Integration: The interior design had to harmonize local island romanticism with modern pop culture without disrupting the site's historic aesthetic.
High-Traffic Spatial Flow: Designing a seamless visitor route capable of handling massive daily tourist crowds while maximizing photo-spot opportunities and social media engagements.
Complex Thematic Environments: Recreating diverse atmospheric zones—from sports arenas to classical fine art spaces—under strict lighting and environmental parameters.
As the turnkey project developer and operator, DXDF Art executed a complete end-to-end design and engineering deployment:
Designed an immersive visitor journey themed around "Sea Breeze & Starlight," seamlessly bridging local island history with international stardom.
Planned dedicated zoning including Sports Arena Displays, Cultural & Artistic Spaces (featuring a recreated studio for master painter Leng Jun), and Pop-Culture Interactive Zones.
Fabricated bespoke scenic props, period-accurate architectural backdrops, and interactive lighting rigs engineered specifically for non-reflective photographic environments.
Implemented specialized environmental controls to protect silicone figures and delicate scene installations from coastal humidity.
Supplied dozens of museum-grade silicone statues (including global sports legends like Messi, Ronaldo, and Kobe Bryant) featuring medical-grade silicone, hand-implanted hair, and precision-tailored costumes.
Commercial Landmark: Established a landmark indoor attraction on Gulangyu Island, consistently generating massive daily foot traffic and local tourism revenue.
Viral Social Engagement: The interactive photo zones and hyper-realistic figures created a high viral coefficient across social media channels, elevating the venue's online visibility.
Proven Operational Excellence: Served as a flagship model for DXDF’s proprietary wax museum operations ("Wei Mu Kai La"), demonstrating our capability to design, build, and operate world-class attraction projects from the ground up.
