Why didn’t Yang Liwei go into space again? | DXDF,Grand Orient Wax Figure

November 22, 2024

Six astronauts gather in the “universe” for the fifth time in China's spaceflight history.

The transmission and relay of today's dream could not have been possible without his life's courage 21 years ago.Why did Yang Liwei never go into space again?

Welcome to the 48th issue of our story!

The Beginning of a Space Saga, Yang Liwei's First Trip to Space

On October 15, 2003, Yang Liwei entered space on the Shenzhou V spacecraft, becoming China's first astronaut to enter space.During the long and challenging 21 hours and 23 minutes of space flight,Every minute and every second seems to be writing a thrilling legend on the grand stage of the universe.

“I may not be able to make it,”he said.

When the rocket rose to 30 or 40 kilometers, it resonated strongly with the spacecraft, and everything in the cabin and Yang Liwei vibrated violently, with a load of about 6G added to the vibration. He saw blackness in front of his eyes and his internal organs seemed to be shattered. This situation had never happened before in training. He thought he was going to die and was prepared, but he survived for 26 seconds with his super strong willpower.

The journey home is still thrilling.

The Beijing Aerospace Command Center issued a "return" command, and the spacecraft braked at an altitude of 343 kilometers. The spacecraft descended rapidly, and friction with the air produced high-temperature shock waves and sharp whistling sounds, accompanied by overload and vibration. The cracks in the porthole glass made Yang Liwei nervous, but when the left porthole also cracked, he felt a little relieved. If it is a fault, the probability of recurrence is not high. Later, it was found that the anti-burning coating on the porthole was cracked, not the glass, but the different materials on both sides caused the cracks to occur at different times.

This flight is not only a personal honor for Yang Liwei, but also a pride for the entire Chinese nation. It is like the dawn of light, penetrating the long-standing competition fog in the international aerospace field, and marks a solid step forward for China in the field of space exploration.Yang Liwei became a national hero. His name and deeds are praised throughout China, inspiring countless Chinese people to have passion and yearning for space exploration.

Physical and age considerations from a personal perspective

The space environment places extremely harsh demands on astronauts' bodies.Astronauts have to endure. There are many risk factors such as cosmic ray radiation, micrometeoroid impacts, and weightlessness in space.Even with rigorous training and protective measures, these factors can still cause a certain degree of damage to the body.

After Yang Liwei completed his first space flight,The body needs time to recover and recuperate. In order to ensure the safety of the astronauts' lives and the smooth progress of the mission, after comprehensively considering these physical and age factors, he may not be scheduled to continue on subsequent space missions.

Aerospace development, inheritance and training of newcomers

China's space industry is a long-term and ambitious project.A constant infusion of fresh blood is needed. After Yang Liwei completed his first flight mission, the valuable experience he accumulated became an important asset for training a new generation of astronauts. He actively participated in the training and guidance of astronauts. He passed on everything he learned and felt during space flight to those who came after him without reservation.

Each generation of astronauts has its own specific historical mission. After Yang Liwei opened a new era of Chinese manned space flight, more young astronauts will be needed to undertake different types of space missions, such as space station construction, long-term space stay and other complex tasks.

After years of hard training, these young astronauts have acquired the ability to carry out missions and need to grow through practice. Yang Liwei is a leading figure in China's space industry. His role gradually changed from executor to inheritor and leader. To contribute to the sustainable development of the aerospace industry and to provide escort for the new generation of astronauts.

Behind-the-scenes heroes are just as great as those who continue to contribute to the aerospace field

Although Yang Liwei did not go into space again, he still played a vital role in China's space industry on the ground. He participated in the planning and evaluation of various space projects, using his expertise and unique space perspective to provide important advice on the scientificity and safety of space missions.

At the same time,He actively devoted himself to the cause of aerospace science popularization.Through various lectures and activities, he spread aerospace knowledge to the public, especially young people, and inspired their passion for space exploration. He became an aerospace idol in the hearts of countless children, planted the seeds of space exploration in their young hearts, and cultivated more potential talents for the future of China's aerospace industry.

Although Yang Liwei is no longer in space, his influence in the aerospace field has never diminished, and he is still contributing to the vigorous development of China's aerospace industry.

Passing on the National Spirit, Telling China's Story

Every perfect launch of the Shenzhou series is like playing a passionate national hymn, making our national pride continue to rise like a rocket taking off.The legendary stories of the national heroes who shined in the space journey are like bright stars, deeply touching the hearts of countless people.Among them is Ms. Zhou Xuerong, the founder of the national brand WeiMuKaiLa wax museum.

An idea suddenly flashed through Teacher Zhou's mind: to create a lifelike, indistinguishable silicone statue of the space hero Yang Liwei. She hopes that through this unique method,Tell the touching "Chinese story" and forever engrave the supreme highlights of the national heroes.

Fortunately, this idea was highly recognized and strongly supported by Yang Liwei himself. He gladly accepted the sincere invitation from teacher Zhou Xuerong and formally authorized "WeiiMuKaiLa wax museum" to create his own silicone sculpture.

To make a realistic silicone statue, one must go through the early stages of data collection and dynamic modeling planning and design; the mid-stage sculpting, mold making, coloring, hair transplantation and other complex steps; and the later stages of overall adjustment, including the design of space, lighting, clothing and environment. It will take several months to complete.

                                                                               (Data collection in progress

Each process needs to be completed by experienced sculptors, mold makers, makeup artists, hair transplant technicians and other craftsmen.

When Yang Liwei smiled, his two obvious dimples immediately made him look friendly. And this expression was also captured by the curtain opening, freezing the beautiful moment with ingenuity.
