A childhood lacking in love, a youth filling with rebel

Angelina Jolie's Early Life was a Challenging and Rebellious Journey.Angelina Jolie was born on June 4, 1975, in Los Angeles, USA. Her father, Jon Voight, was an Oscar-winning actor, and her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, was also an actress.

Jolie's parents divorced when she was only 23 months old, and her mother, unwilling to care for her due to the deterioration of her relationship with her father, left Jolie to be primarily raised by nannies. This complex upbringing turned Jolie into a true rebellious teenager.

In high school, Jolie wore braces and thrift store clothes, often being mocked by her peers. Later, she sought solace from boyfriends and began experimenting with various extreme behaviors.Jolie also collected knives and became fascinated with tattoos, saying that self-harm was a way to prove her existence.

Solid acting skills, rising fame in Hollywood

Despite her troubled youth, Jolie's acting career began at a young age. At 6, she started acting with her father, and at 11, she enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute to study drama. In 1995, Jolie played a computer hacker in the film "Hackers," and her striking looks and impressive acting skills quickly caught the attention of audiences and directors.

In 1997, Jolie's acting career reached a turning point when she delivered a powerful performance as George Wallace's wife in the TV film "George Wallace,"earning her a Golden Globe Award.Jolie's success continued to soar, and she received an Emmy nomination for her outstanding portrayal of Gia Carangi in the HBO biopic "Gia."The young Jolie had now become a rising star in Hollywood.

In 2001, Jolie further cemented her fame by starring in the film adaptation of the video game "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider." From 2003 to 2005, she appeared in a string of acclaimed films, including "Shark Tale," "Alexander," "Taking Lives," "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow," "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," and "The Good Shepherd."

                                                                                                                                                       ▲Figure Statue in "WeiMuKaiLa"

In 2007,Jolie took on the challenging lead role in the action film "Wanted."That same year, she once again demonstrated her dramatic range by starring in the critically acclaimed "A Mighty Heart,"directed by the renowned Colin Firth. Her performance earned her numerous Best Actress nominations in 2008, including an Oscar nod, her first in nine years.

In 2008, Jolie's star power and influence in Hollywood reached new heights. She not only topped the list of the world's highest-paid actresses, earning over $20 million per film, but she also dominated various power and impact rankings.

However, just as Jolie's acting career was at its peak, she made a surprising announcement in 2014 during the premiere of her new film "Maleficent".She revealed that she planned to end her acting career and instead focus on becoming a film director.

Charitable work fills the gaps outside of work,Adopting orphans, defending human rig

A highly renowned Hollywood actress, one would expect her to be shuttling between various film sets and red carpets. However, the "rebellious" Jolie instead went to refugee camps and orphanages, and the reason for this can be traced back to an experience she had during a filming project.

This shift was inspired by her experiences while filming "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" in Cambodia in 2000. There, she witnessed the plight of Thai refugees and heard their harrowing stories, which deeply touched her heart.Moved by the refugees' struggles, Jolie delved into the work of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and expressed a strong desire to become a volunteer. On August 27, 2001, Jolie was officially appointed as a UNHCR Special Envoy.

Jolie has personally visited refugee camps across 5 continents and over 20 countries. She has also adopted 3 children from Cambodia, Ethiopia, and Vietnam, and she has been a vocal advocate for peace, actively calling on the international community to provide aid and support to refugees.Jolie's humanitarian efforts have been widely recognized, earning her accolades such as the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award from the Oscars, being named one of the 25 most influential philanthropists by "Worth" magazine, and being awarded the insignia of a Dame Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George by Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.

Since 2001, Jolie has donated 3 million to Refugee relief projects and 10 million to wildlife conservation projects in Cambodia. She has also contributed millions of dollars in disaster relief aid to various countries.

Jolie has also founded two foundations - the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation, which is focused on Cambodia, and the Jolie Foundation, which helps children in orphanages.

                                                                                                                                                                        ▲Figure Statue in "WeiMuKaiLa"

When asked about her deep commitment to philanthropy, Jolie said: "It is charitable work that has made me increasingly aware of life and understand the relationships between people, whether it is family or love. When I stepped into the refugee camps, the extent of the tragedy left me stunned. After seeing it,I have changed a lot.In a sense, that experience has made me stronger and given me a deeper understanding of the true meaning of life. From then on,I will not demand anything from life or from my existence. If her past rebelliousness was a form of exploration during her youth, then her current dedication to charity work represents a higher pursuit in life.

She is not just a movie star and a mother, but the legendary Angelina Jolie.
